These terms and conditions apply to all bookings, gift cards, packages and memberships at Floatworks, and to your use of our London studios. By booking a session with us, you agree to the terms below.
1. Bookings & cancellations
All sessions are booked in advance through our website, app or booking platform. Please arrive a little before your appointment so you have time to settle in.
- Cancellations and rescheduling are free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice before your session.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed appointments, may be charged in full or result in the loss of a session credit.
- Late arrivals shorten the session — your appointment will still finish at its scheduled time so that the next guest is not delayed.
2. Gift cards & packages
Gift cards and session packages are a lovely way to share floating — a few things to note:
- Gift cards and packages are valid for the period stated at the time of purchase, and expire at the end of that period.
- Gift cards and packages are non-refundable once purchased.
- Packages and gift cards may be shared with friends and family unless stated otherwise — introductory offers are for individual use and cannot be shared.
3. Memberships
Memberships run on a rolling monthly basis, with your payment collected automatically each month. You can cancel at any time by giving us notice before your next billing date — your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Membership floats and benefits are subject to the terms presented when you join.
4. Health & suitability
Floating is safe and deeply relaxing for most people, but it is not suitable for everyone. Please do not float if any of the following applies to you:
- You have had a tattoo within the last four weeks — the salt water can damage new tattoos and cause discomfort.
- You have an infectious illness, open wounds or a contagious skin condition.
- You have consumed alcohol or recreational drugs before your session.
If you are pregnant, have epilepsy, or have any other medical condition you are unsure about, please consult your GP before booking. Our team is always happy to answer questions about whether floating is right for you — just ask.
5. Conduct in studio
Our studios are calm, shared spaces. We ask all guests to shower before and after floating, to follow the guidance given by our team, and to treat our staff, other guests and our facilities with respect. We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session, without refund, where behaviour puts the comfort or safety of others at risk.
6. Liability
You float at your own risk and are responsible for ensuring you are fit to do so. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales. We are not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, personal belongings brought into our studios, so please use the storage provided and leave valuables at home where possible.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes to our services or the law. The latest version will always be published on this page, and significant changes will be flagged to members by email. Your continued use of our services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
